Yesterday, Royal Enfield India launched the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 for sales. Both the Bikes are very Aggressively Priced and attracted a lot of Audience. The Continental GT Standard is Priced at 2.65Lakhs, Chrome is Priced at 2.85Lakhs and Custom is Priced at 2.72Lakhs. The Interceptor 650 Standard is Priced at 2.5Lakhs, Chrome at 2.7Lakhs and Custom at 2.57Lakhs. (All Ex-Showroom Prices)
Both motorcycles will use 650-cc, parallel-twin four-stroke engines, based on an all-new engine platform that Royal Enfield has developed ground up. The engine will make 47 Bhp-52 Nm, and will feature four valve heads, a 270-degree crank and a single overhead camshaft. Fuel injection will be standard. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit, a first on a Royal Enfield. A slipper clutch will also be standard. Also all the Models will get Dual-Channel ABS as standard.
As expected from a 2.5Lakh+ Bike, the Build Quality is as expected from Royal Enfield, the Best. The seat is on the lower side and comfortable for an Average-Indian. And the Riding position as expected from the Interceptor is Comfortable and up-right. Whereas the Riding Position on the Continental GT is Leaning-Forward and Aggressive. Although both the bikes use the same Chassis, the Handle-Bar positioning makes the difference in Riding Position.
