Continental GT 535 has been discontinued by the manufacturer Royal Enfield. The Continental GT 535 was India’s first café racer motorcycle. Most Royal Enfield dealers have stopped taking fresh bookings for the bike. At present moment only the leftover stocks at some dealerships are available for purchase.
The glory of Continental GT 535
The Continental GT 535 was launched in November, 2013 in India. The bike while in production was the most powerful and costly offering from Royal Enfield. It was priced at 2.08 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. On the engine front GT 535 is equipped with an air cooled, 535 cc 4-stroke engine delivering 29.1 Bhp power and 44 Nm max torque. The cafe racer features a long fuel tank, single seat, clips on handle bar and a sporty rear cowl.
GT 535 is a well-built bike with high quality parts and accessories. The Paioli rear shock absorbers made the ride comfortable. Aluminium spoked wheels were used to keep the weight low and also provide the eye catching style. Brembo disc brakes on both front and rear tyres ensure safe braking. The engine is fitted with a lighter crank to enable it rev faster and produce max performance.
The Continental GT 535 will soon be replaced by a new twin cylindered and advanced model named Continental GT 650. The Continental GT 650 is expected to launch in mid-2018.
